Simon Caldwell’s name adds a certain integrity to an event.
Playing since the early 1990’s managing to avoid stifling ‘style’ classifications that trap so many other DJ’s, keeping himself free to draw on his varied loves of deep, soulful house, techno, funk, jazz, electro, booty, hip hop and anything else which catches his ear.
Simon has supported a list of internationals longer than your arm, including Theo Parrish, James Brown, Todd Terje, Rolando, Herbert, Claude Young, Maurice Fulton, Grace Jones, Derrick Carter, Moodymann, Charles Webster and Frankie Knuckles, to name just a few. He currently holds down Monday Sunset on FBI Radio, and is resident/co-promoter of Mad Racket, a Sydney underground party institution running since 1998.
In mid 2014 Simon based himself in Berlin for three months and played at various venues including Wilde Renate and Prince Charles, with 2 shows in Russia and shows in Hamburg and London, Caldwell is one of Australia’s finest.
