Hudge has been a stalwart of the London Hip Hop scene for 20 years. A founder of Boom Bap and Take it 2 the Bridge and a regular DJ at Glastonbury, Ibiza Rocks, and Notting Hill Carnival, to name but a few. The basis of his sound has always been Hip-Hop but his encyclopedic collection of music enables him to inject whatever it a takes to rock a party – something he never fails to do.
In the ’90’s Hudge honed his DJ skills with the Funkin Pussy Sound System at the Africa Centre. He also played at the UK B-Boy Championships from 1998 to 2003 sharing the stage with with Kurtis Blow, Plus One, DJ Kool Herc, Africa Islam, Schoolly D, Rahzel, the Scratch Perverts, Crazy Legs (the Rock Steady Crew) and Mantronix.
Hudge has toured with and supported the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Corrine Bailey Rae, Dirty Sanchez as well as The Herbaliser, The Nextmen, DJ Food, Shorty Blitz, and DJ Vadim – to shamelessly name drop a few.
In 1997 Hudge teamed up with his friends to create the boat party phenomenon Take it 2 the Bridge and has since rocked the waterways of New York, Sydney, Copenhagen, Turin, Thailand, India, Stockholm, and Canada.
Since moving to NZ in 2012, Hudge continues playing with local and Australian party crews including the Funkdafied Crew, and with T Rice presents one of the most successful weekend radio shows on NZ national radio station, George FM.
